Summary of about 22 responses or comments to the following question
concerning orange juice:

³Has anyone experienced sensitivity to frozen orange juice. When my wife
drinks orange juice (with calcium), she gets a gluten type reaction within
an hour or so.²

About six people had the same problem blaming too much acid. The same
people suggested Minute Maid (GF) including MM with calcium, pureTropicana,
Florida Gold or MM from the dairy case One person suggested OJ that had low
acid and low pulp.

It was also commented that the following may be the source of the problem:

OJ with magnesium may trigger gluten-like reaction. OJ containing citric
acid may be at fault in that sometimes citiric acid is made from wheat, not
citrus. So called "natural flavors" carried in wheat starch, not GF.
Calcium in OJ comes from milk, possible milk reaction. One person had a
reaction with ³Vit. D added² OJ. Food allergy to citrus.
Some concentrates have very little OJ and what there is may not be GF.
OJ concentrate made from blends of OJ from every country in the world
producing oranges may have gluten or pesticide contamination.

Just for information, some people questioned what brand of OJ my wife had
been drinking. It was ³Old Orchard² concentrate with calcium, a blend of
juices from various countries.

Thank you all for your suggestions and comments.
