Earlier I asked if anyone had problems with Sterk's Bakery.  They take your order and then never deliver.....yet they show up at conventions trying to get your business.   Everytime you call, they promise to ship the next day, or to call you back.  Neither one ever happens.    Below are some of the responses I have received.   Guess I am not the only one who is totally unhappy with Sterk's.  I am also sending this e-mail directly to them!!    But I doubt if they care.  ...... Here are the responses:

When I ordered from Sterks it was through Mitch and Dawn Ackerman.  They live in Pennsylvania but travel up to Sterks fairly frequently (every 6 weeks or so) and make purchases and deliveries for people in PA.  I only ordered once since I didn't particularly like the taste of the bread so I can only say that when I ordered it  it took about 6 weeks.  I've been using the Food For Life brand bread since they sell it in my supermarket and it tastes the best of all the breads I've tried.

I've had several problems with them also.  Usually after 2 weeks, I call
them again and then I get my order after that.  It is a pain, and you would
think they would try to please, but I know now to order plenty ahead of time
before I need something.  Both times the second time I talked to them they
shipped it the express way (within 2-3 days) without charging me the extra.
I don't bother to leave a message if they don't answer.  I also know of
another lady who's had the same problem.

I've had the same problems...so to my dismay, I've stopped buying from them.  
Last time I ordered from them, I had ordered several doz. mini pizza shells 
because they were so good the previous time.  Ordered some other things as 
well.  It took my order over 3 months to arrive...April to July!!!!!  Same 
thing as you've had.....it's coming, etc.  When it DID get here, everything 
was so stale it was almost unusable.  Such a shame...they can be so good!  I 
can't figure it out either....why advertise if you can't handle the volume??? 
 I'm anxious to hear if everyone has the same experiences.  Thanks for 
voicing what I have been wondering!

I had nothing but problems with them.   When I finally did get ahold of
someone (it took a month) they said my order had been shipped the week
before - when I got it I could see what day it had been sent (the day after
my phone call) and it was short from what I ordered.

I refuse to deal with them anymore.  (This was 4 years ago it would appear
they have not changed their ways)

Yes, I've had similar problems to the ones you noted. I've purchased their products and conferences too and love them. But future orders (or even those placed at the conference for items they don't have with them) take time. I've wondered if yes, they are just too small and unable to keep up with their demand, but not expanding their production facilities and/or staff. 

It's been about a year and a half since I've tried. Sorry to hear their troubles continue....they make some great gf products and are really nice people. I think the phone is answered at their home, I get the impression as the kids answer sometimes.
