Contrary to the experience of many Celiac fliers, the following
Airlines offer Gluten Free Meals, according to a chart in the AAA Travel
magazine published by California State Auto Assn.: Continental,
American, Delta, United.

The chart lists 24 different meal types (from Bland to Vegetarian
nondairy), suggesting that you generally have to ask 24 hours in
advance. (We know better). The website below currently has the August
issue on-line, but you might check later in the Sept/Oct. 2000 issue to
see if it is included. The article is titled Airline Seat Space on pg.
12, and makes no other reference to meals, except for the chart on pg.
14. It doesn't mention the source of their information.
