After reading lynn's reply to the discussion of celiacs and the hepatitis
B vaccine, I suddenly find myelf a bit more interested because of her
lack of response. I was given the vaccine in late 1988 and early 1989.
This was two and a half years before I showed celiac symptoms. About a
year after the vaccine, I took part in a liver research study. One of the
things measures was the Hepatitis B antibody. I was negative. After that
I had a booster shot, but I never did get further tested to see if I
developed the antibody this time. Although I don't have a good
explaination or theory as to why Lynn and I should not respond to the
vaccine, I do find it an interesting similarity.
