I have been exploring the archives and had a few nagging questions
answered. What a great source. But, I am tryng to plan for next
summer. I am an avid backpacker, given the time to do it. I just
realized my gluten intolerance this fall, I did this year's trip
wheat-free, because I thought that was the extent of my porblem
(including milk and soy). Nest year the rye crackers are out. Rice
Cakes are still OK, but bulky. I have found a canned sardine (in spring
water, no broth or soy oil added), but that is rather limiting if I am
on the trail for 10 days. We do fish nearly every day, so that is OK.
This year my husband suffered through bland mashed potatoes and rice.
But next year even the wheat free granola that I ate with water is on
the avoid list. Anyone else a backpacker?
