Thanks so much to all who responded to my post about my mother's arthritis
symptoms. Here is what you said...
About 30 responded to my post and said that arthritis symptoms were
their #1 symptom.
The gluten-free diet brought complete relief for most, although most
said it took time. (6 weeks, 8 months, 5 months, 9 months, several months,
and 1 year)
Many reported that with gluten accidents it takes from 2 to 3 days up
to a month for the joint, bone, and muscle pain to go away.
Several people said they had to steer clear of dairy or have minimal
dairy.
And other help in addition to the diet were supplements (especially D,
K, and Calcium), anti-inflammatory medicine, and sublingual B-12.
And one post said Rheumatoid Arthritis is autoimmune and the only type
associated with untreated Celiac Disease.
This offers hope for my mother's situation. I can't thank you enough for
taking the time to respond.
