Hi everyone,

Does anyone out there have or know if chocolate is a problem for some
celiacs? I have been careful and only eat the ones I am sure are GF (plain M&
M's and Ghiardelli), however the only times I have had chocolate, I seem to
get a reaction. I follow the GF diet very strictly and I am very cautious
about everything. It has been about 2 1/2 months on the diet so far. I have
only had chocolate about 3 times and each time I felt symptoms.

Also, I keep seeing things about make-up, beauty products-lotions and
perfumes. Do I need to worry about these? How about coffee filters? I
have CD but do get allergic Hive type rashes from various (sometimes,
unknown) things. And, last, (sorry, but since I never write, I figured I'd
get it all out) my children-all 3 have CD, are enjoying a GF rice cereal I
found at a health food store and want me to try and make GF rice crispy
treats. I can't seem to find if marshmallows are GF. Any ideas??? Thanks a
bunch! This group has been a lifesaver throughout this very difficult first
few months of CD for me and the kids!
Sincerely,
-Anjela in NY
