I've never done this before so I will apologize in advance if I do it
incorrectly.I had a saliva test done for SIgA Gliadin Ab by Diagnos-Techs
that was positive at 20 (>15 is positive, 13-15 is borderline according to
the comments by the lab). I assumed based on this, my symptoms and recent
labs showing multiple vitamin deficiencies that I had celiac disease. A week
later (still on a normal diet) I had further food allergy/intolerance
testing done by Sage Medical Lab. This is serum IgG and "complement antigen"
testing. It showed positive to wheat (and many other non-celiac type foods),
BUT negative to barley, rye, oats AND gluten. I'm terribly confused now and
don't know where to turn. Does anyone have any experience with/knowledge
about either of these labs? Should I have any other testing? Also, I have
been unable on any other sites to find a recommended doctor for my area.
Will any GI doc do? I live in upstate SC, near Greenville, and would
appreciated any MD recommendations or other info.
Thanks,
