Health groups in Canada including the Canadian Celiac Association have
been working together to lobby for better labelling regulations for
people with allergies and celiac disease. See the link below for the
Center for Science in the Public Interest (Canadian affiliate to the
headquartes in Washington, DC). Note Marion Zarkadas's comments on
celiac and gluten-free further down in the letter. Marion and I are
members of the Professional Advisory Board of the Canadian Celiac
Association and have been working hard to raise the awareness of celiac
disease and the need for better food labelling regulations.

Also click on the link to the letter to Ann McLellan, Minister of Health
and download the report. See the many references and concerns about
celiac disease and gluten-free issues. There is aso a link to the CSPI
in the USA at the bottom of the page link below.

The message is clear that we need to partner with other groups and
organizations to get celiac disease on the "radar screen" and work for
improved labelling of foods with respect to gluten-free issues in Canada
and the USA!
