Well, I can tell you about my personal experience with wheat and barley
grasses . . .

I'm allergic to wheat and gluten (not officially CD) and had a violent
reaction after unknowingly taking a supplement with wheat and barley
grass. I couldn't figure out what I'd eaten, because I had not ingested
anything out of the ordinary -- except the supplement. Went and checked
the bottle and saw the ingredients. I can't speak to the gluten
problem, but take it from someone with wheat and gluten allergies --
that was not a fun experience.
