Dear Paula,

Thanks for your email. There is no coating on the fried onions, they are
fried whole natural onions, not coated and fried such as the onions I
have seen in US supermarkets (or, for that matter, like onion rings in a
fast food restaurant).

We have several customers that I know of who are gluten intolerant, and
they order a variety of our products such as chantaboon rice sticks and
rice flour, and other things.

There is no indication on the package of our fried red onion that there is
wheat, rye, oats or barley. To the best of my knowledge it's gluten free
although if you have a severe case of this celiac disease you might have
it tested somehow before you ingest it.

We appreciate being mentioned on your email list. You may send this
message along to the list if you'd like. I noticed that at least two
customers ordered several jars of the fried onion, I believe these are
orders we received as a result of being mentioned on your list. I would
encourage them to share their findings with other members of the list.
We are sending them immediately via Priority Mail for quick delivery.

Thanks for your support.

Best Regards,

Jerry Good
