Well, I've compiled my answers from people who responded about the candy
corn, and caramel  candy issue.  Here are the results:

4 people gave me recipes for homemade caramel 1 person wrote that NONE
of Brach's candies are GF as they dust their conveyor belts with flour.

1 other person also wrote that Brach's candy corn is NOT GF, but with
Farley's brand, she was told by a sales rep that some packages may be labeled
with wheat as an ingredient, and other packages do NOT have wheat so to look
for those!

2 people wrote that Hershey's Classic Caramels are GF.

1 person wrote that she learned from her Seattle Celiac Group that Milk Maid
Caramels are GF--(I was at the store today and those ARE made by Brach's)

I think I'll go with Hershey's!
