Dear list readers:
I was diagnosed as a celiac last fall and have been gluten free since then.
I'm feeling very well except in the past month I have developed a maddening
itch. Has anyone had any experience with localized itching? I went to a
dermatologist and he prescribed an ointment and attributed the itch to pollen as the
season changes. The ointment does not reduce the itch and I have since learned
from the main Celiac site that gluten withdrawal can cause this sometimes.
Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions? I would appreciate any info or
comments. This itch is maddening! It is in a small area on my back and nothing is
visible that would cause it. The skin is unblemished. It just itches to the
point I cannot concentrate on anything else. Thanks for any comments. LP in AZ
