For those of you who want to know "what else" is in prescription
medications, I just located a website for family physicians which
contains monographs for lots of prescription medications.
The two I looked at, Estrace and Provera, both included a complete
list of "what else" is in the pills: cornstarch, colorings, etc.
It says, for instance, that several dosages of Provera are gluten-free.
While I wouldn't consider this necessarily the latest information
because we know that ingredients change (both monographs
I looked at were dated 1996), and while you should probably
check ingredients with your pharmacist, it is perhaps
a place to start.
