Happy news, my cubital tunnel has healed-I was told that it's a bit
unusual for the ulnar nerve damage to heal (in fact in the beginning
I was told this would not be possible), and now I don't need
surgery! But they poked me with needles and the EMG tests don't
lie! Now the bad news, the reason I'm still in pain is because I have
nerve damage in my neck. They sent me for x-rays and I was lucky to
get into today. So we'll see what they see!

I am thrilled to be able to try something non invasive - yeah! We're
waiting for results of x-ray but he is hopeful that I will get some
relief with physical therapy. I'm thinking massages paid by the
insurance company would be awesome, but suspect that's not quite what
they have in mind. One can dream....

So for those of you with cubital tunnel and considering surgery, you
might consider how long you've been on a GF diet before making a
decision. You may see improvement of your neuropathy and not need
surgery. I know I asked something about the neuropathy on this list
a while back and one of the reasons I kept holding off on surgery was
to see if it got better being GF. My doctor said it would not.
Happily he is wrong. I've been GF for almost 4 months. The reason I
waited is because a couple of you shared that as you became GF your
neuropathy became better- so thank you thank you! Because of those
emails, I now do NOT have to have an expensive, painful and
unnecessary surgery!
