Can anyone tell me if they have done a gluten challenge and what were the
results? My 14 year old daughter was diagnosed a year and a half ago with
Celiac. She has been gluten-free since August 2001. Her recent lab results
(sent to a new lab for the first time) came back negative 1. Her other labs
have always been just slightly out of the normal (non-celiac) range. Her
biopsy although at first looked non-celiac, came back confirmed celiac
although possibly very early stage. Although she has FLOURISHED being
gluten-free, I find that I am questioning her diagnosis. Her pediatric GI was
not entirely opposed to her trying a gluten challenge.
I am leaving the choice up to her. Does anyone have any experience with this?
I hope to summarize.Thanks!

Susan
