I had about 10 responses to my request of gf carmel apples.  6 people
suggested that Affy Tapples were gf and 5 had eaten them with no problems.  I
called the manufacturer in Niles, Illinois and was told the following.
Although the affy tapples without cookies,(plain or with nuts) are gluten
free, their factory is not gf.  They are sometimes made on the same lines,
although they wash  between the batches.  However, because a crumb might
remain, they are hesitant to call them gf.  It is up to the individual to
make their decision.  I'm not sure yet if I will let my daughter eat them.
The other 4 people suggested I make my own carmel apples.  Thanks a lot to
