A few respondents explained that gluten is a poison to celiacs, insecticides
used on gluten grains are bad for people and that humans were never intended
to consume grains.

A couple of listmembers suggested reading at http://www.paleodiet.com and
recommending a book at http://www.sofdesign.com/neander

The bulk of the respondents felt;

1) most people are eating an unhealthy diet to begin with and the switch to
GF made it more healthier to them since many processed and prepared foods
are not GF

2)  people didn't read ingredient labels until they were forced to and then
realized what really was in products and therefore started choosing
healthier products

3)  the diet really isn't any healthier, if you are using your countries
food guidelines as your diet basis, since most of GF pastas, breads, etc are
not fortified with vitamins, etc like gluten containing breads, pastas are
