Hi again,

my recent bloodwork shows elevated liver enzymes. I had a liver ultrasonic
done. I just got back from a consultation with a liver specialist. He
said that the ultrasonic appears normal and his physical exam indicates
that I'm a healthy person. He recommended more intensive bloodwork be done
in two weeks and return to him in a month. He thinks it may be related to
the celiac condition. Apparently he doesn't seem worried about it.

What concerns me is that I've been experiencing diahrrea and leg
pain/spasms. The pain seems to be centrally up and down the leg and lasts
for about 3 to 5 minutes. It occurs mostly during the night. It is most
uncomfortable and unpleasant and wearying. I may have about 4 or 5 periods
of it during the night. I've seen a pattern of these incidences whenever
I imbibe alcohol (wine, etc) that's gf as well as eating sweets in the
evening. I've stopped taking these items, and the painful episodes
stopped.

I'm wondering if any of you folks have had those experiences and/or
elevated liver enzymes that may be related to celiac. I recall vaquely
having seen some postings in the past on pancreatic enzymes for elevated
liver enzymes.

Your help and support will be most appreciated, as always!
