On a recent posting someone mentioned that one of their celiac symptoms was
a distended belly. One doctor offered the opinion that it was caused by
Osteoporosis which I have. I have also seen it mentioned as a result of
Celiac disease. Can anyone tell me if Osteoporosis by itself produces this
symptom or if Celiac disease by itself causes it. I have been gluten free
for fifteen months but still have a distended belly. Does anyone know if it
should return to normal when one goes on the GF diet. The doctor who
mentioned Osteoporosis as the cause said it could be caused by spinal
deformation resulting from Osteoporosis. If he is right that could explain
why my belly distension persists.
