Thanks to everyone who sent responses.

Ten people said they take NSAIDs with no problem.

Nsaids are the number one cause of kidney disease, they are very hard on the
liver. You would be better off with plain old aspirin.

I use Xango. It is a juice beverage containing xanthones from the "whole
fruit" of the mangosteen. It does not have the side effects that NSAID's
have.

Oral NSAIDs tend to be hard on the villi. A study a while back did
scopings on a large group of normal population NSAID users, and found
villi damage in about 10% of them.

Have you considered a topical NSAID? These are highly effective at the
site of application and are not metabolized through the gut. Because
the medication is being applied directly to the painful area, much less
total NSAID is needed at each application. Interestingly, some (not
all) people find that a dose of topical NSAID knocks out their pain for
a longer period of time than a much larger dose of oral NSAID does.

I was told by my Gastro Dr. not to take until my small intestines were
healed. I haven't used any for over 4 years.
If you'd like to take a natural anti-inflammatory that has no side effects,
you should try mangosteen juice.

Both my daughter and I are very sensitive celiacs and we take Aleve when we have pain; we were advised to take this particular NSAID by our celiac specialist GI doc.
