I'm pleased to report a pleasant dining experience at Sidney's Pizza in St. Paul, MN.  They have rice noodles on their menu, as a wheat/gluten free option for all of their pasta entrees.  I took the risk and ordered the Thai chicken and had the server double check the ingredients with the kitchen (the server was familiar with gluten-intolerance) and she also brought me an alternative to the standard bread and butter served (carrot and zuchinni sticks, with a GF dip.)
A nice dinner out with the family... and so far, no side effects!
