Hi group,

I have been doing a gluten challenge for the past two weeks for my
biopsy in September and have been having a hard time with it which is
what I had expected. I do not seem to be having alot of stomach problems
but am having serious problems with a rash which has infected, muscle
and bone aches, headaches, brain fog, lack of energy, a sharp pain below
my ribs and respiratory problems. I have had to cut back my gluten
consumption to almost nothing just to keep going.

This morning my son has come to me with itchy, watery blisters and I
fear that it is Dermatitis Herpetiformis. He has been craving pasta and
eating it every day. His rash looks different than mine and is on his
elbows and knees while mine is on my neck, face, legs just above the
knees and hands. He has always vomited easily, had problems with
diarrhea and gas, and problems with stomach aches but has been otherwise
healthy, growing well and taller than other nine year olds. He has been
diagnosed with ADHD and it is suspected that he has dyslexia too. I have
heard that there is a possible connection between dyslexic children and
Celiac Disease. Can anyone confirm this for me?

The problem is that I don't want the doctors and specialists to put him
through what I have been through. Should I put him on a gluten free diet
and see if he improves? Take him to the doctor? Wait and see what the
results of my biopsy is? I am new to this and don't know what I am doing
let alone what to do about my son.

Any advice would be appreciated.
