Many people wrote with a quick thank you. Some people wrote additional
notes about fries. To clarify, yes, I wrote the original post. My reason
was to let others know that beef off the grill at McDonald's is food safe.
On occasion when we run out of beef, you may get a sandwich that has been
made with meat off the grill. Yes, it continues to cook in the holding
cabinet. However, there is no specified amount of time to wait before
serving that meat.
A couple of people still have gluten issues with McDonald's meat. I am not
sure why. One asked for a suggestion on how to order. If I were you, I
would approach the store manager on how he or she would suggest you do that
at a particular store. In general, try not to order during the busiest rush
of the day. You can ask that your meat be removed with a clean utensil.
Tell the manager why. I do not think the store I am at right now is any
more food safe than any other McDonald's. You should be able to eat at any
store with the same confidence. There are issues of laziness, not
understanding an order and human error. I do not guarantee any particular
store.
I have had some food issues with some restaurants. I choose not to eat
there. It is up to each individual to decide if he or she feels confident
eating at a particular restaurant.
I hope this clarifies some answers.
Wendy
