Hello list,
I was wondering if any you could share some successful GF restaurant dining in Newport, RI? Newport is filled with lots of local restaurants featuring seafood. In addition, it is peak tourist season there, so it could be a little challenging to get the attention of a chef without some planning. I lived there for a year quite some time ago, but the GF diet was a non-issue then. I am particulary looking for places that are somewhat family/kid friendly. Has anyone been on the 2 1/2 hour Newport Dinner (or lunch) Train that goes by Naragannsett Bay?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Of course, I will sumarize.

  Thanks,
