In response to an email inquiry I sent:

Dear Ms. Teeman:

Thank you for contacting us inquiring if our Private Selection deli meats
are gluten free. We are happy to provide you with additional information
about our products.

At this time, all of our Private Selection deli meats are gluten free. This
includes the meat sold behind the deli counter and the pre-packaged meats.
We are cautious about buying meat from behind the deli counter because of
the risk of cross contamination with other products in the deli that
contain wheat, rye, barley or oats. We would recommend talking to the deli
manager to see when the best time of the day would be to buy the meats (ie;
when they clean their slicers, etc). As with all of our products, we
recommend checking on the gluten status of our products every few months
because ingredients and suppliers can change.

I hope this information is helpful to you. Please feel to contact our toll
free Dietitian line at 1-866-632-6900 if you have any additional questions.
Thank you again for your inquiry.

Sincerely,

Janine Faber, RD, LD
