Thanks for all your messages.  I got several from people citing sources that
he had celiac, one that he was diagnosed with Crohns.  The most significant
seems to be from one list member (mother of a celiac child) who had just
spoken with him the evening of the first of March (this year) and was told
that the cause of his problems was still unknown.  She didn't say if this
referred to the cancer or the food problems.  So anyway guess he is aware.
