Dear Listmates:

I often read this LISTSERV & reflect that Celiacs must be some of the most
remarkable people in the world.  You are always so well informed & helpful.
Today, within 6 hours of posting my question, I received 9 responses!  Thank
you so very much!

Here is the summary:
~ 2 said that 600 mg Zithromax was not GF  but that the 250 mg pills were  GF
~ 3 said that Z... is GF
~ 1 said that any of the pills have lactose & that could be part of the
     problem, but that the liquid form has neither lactose nor gluten
~ 1 (checked a physicians' reference guide &) said that Z was not GF
~ 1 referred me to the Zithromax web site which was replete with information.
     (I had checked the Pfizer web site, but never thought to search for a
     site for this specific medication. Now I know...) This site indicated that
     the drug's side effects may include just the symptoms I have been
     experiencing today.
~ 1 referred me to a Stokes Pharmacy medicine guide.  I am purchasing that!
