"The Gathering", a book of fiction by William X. Kienzle has an extensive
section dealing with celiac.  There is good information about what celiac is
and there is a lot of information about the characters involved dealing with
the problem of communion in the Catholic church.  I have long been a fan of
Kienzle and enjoyed his books.  It was a surprise to come across this in this
particular book.  It is near the end of the book.  If you decide to read it
you may be surprised also how much is in there and you may also become a fan
