I want to bake for a friend who is gluten-free like me, but he is also
intolerant to soy and dairy. When I bought Fleishmans (which used to be
100% corn oil) I read the small print and found soy. Evidently the
Fleishmann's Lite that I bought does not have soy, but I am not sure
about baking with Lite. The texture is fluffy or something.

I turned to the Crisco can to substitute and was shocked to find soy on
that label too. So, my question is, what do those of you who are
dairy-free and soy-free use to substitute for a hard oil?

I am not ready to experiment with oils and am looking for a hard
substitute for cookies. If nothing else appears, I guess I will try the
Fleishmann's Lite. If you have had success with something I don't know
about yet, please let me know.
