Dear Listmembers, Hannaford Brothers, formerly known as Shop n Save, is a
large chain of more than 150, and growing, supermarkets, according to their
office, on the East Coast of the USA. I have seen their products mentioned
many times on this list and there are also quite a number of them,
including not only food items, but also medications and vitamins, listed as
being GF on Abi Newman's GF listing page at
http://www.geocities.com/HotSprings/Spa/4003/.

I have in the past received a gluten free product listing of their store
brands and called this week to obtain a current list. I was told that they
no longer publish a GF listing, as it is too hard for them to keep up with
the ingredients from their changing suppliers so they can make no
guarantees of one of their products being GF. The rep. did state that they
will be glad to research one of their products if you have the name. I
thought that many of you would be interested in knowing this and may want
to call them to check on any of their products that you may have been using
or may wish to purchase. Their toll free phone number is: 1-800-213-904=
0.

The only address that is listed on their labels is: Hannaford Bros. Co.,
Scarborough, ME 04074. Take care all, Karen from Central NY, USA
