Hi,

Last night my husband and I went to Spire, an upscale restaurant in Boston's
theater district (on Treamont St.). It was wonderful. On making the
reservation my husband had told them of my GF status. When we arrived the hostess
checked the computer and told us to be sure to review my allergies with the waiter.
The waiter came to the table and asked me about my needs, which he
communicated to the chef, who was able to modify all but one appetizer for me. As in many
fine restaurants they provide a small "taste" prior to the meal. I thought I
would just have to decline this, but no, the chef had prepared something just
for me, which was GF. The only dessert I could have was the ice cream, but the
waiter said that if I mention when making the reservation that I would like
an GF dessert the chef will prepare something for me. This restaurant is
expensive and certainly not a place to take children. But, if you can and want a
splurge this is a wonderful spot. I have no commercial interest in this
restaurant.

Helen
