Just another thought. Unless you are on a long haul flight and need a
substantial meal, a fruit plate can probably be ordered and there is less
risk of mistakes.

I have travelled a few times on Air Canada since going GF and, although I
always have back up in case of error, I have had as good a meal as one can
expect. I have ordered  both dinners and breakfasts; for  lunches I order
fruit plates.
