I was diagnosed with Grave's disease last month. I read the summary
posted in February, but had a couple of questions.
The only medication I can take is PTU (propylthiouracil) because I am
still nursing my baby. Does anyone know if this is GF? I went ahead and
started taking it. I think I have the generic. The medicine is making me
feel a little ill, but that may be just a side effect. I haven't had much
luck asking at the local pharmacies. I would be happy to pay for the name
brand if I could be sure it is GF.
If I end up having to do the radioactive treatment, is the thyroid
supplement (for hypothyroidism) GF?

Thanks,
Julie Grantier
