Contrary to the strongly positive comments about GF at IKEA, I found that the two employees in the Palo Alto store (past registers) Swedish Market...were awful. One spoke no English and thought I wanted the blueberry cake"for FREE." The other knew zero about gf, so there was no help, no list, no clue. I have emailed IKEA to find out about the blueberry cake. ingredients look fine, but I would want confirmation. 

At the cafe, I took my chances with a fruit bowl, a gravadlax platter, and steamed veggies. Then lo and behold, I found their veg soup sign was labeled gf... And it was delicious. But it was impossible to get other questions answered from anyone. If IKEA is gf-friendly, I would have had to try harder to find out. The write ups online are not consistent with my experience. The soup was the only plus. At the market, I read lots of labels and found only the blueberry cake. Which is questionable. Good thing I don't go to IKEA that often. I will post their response, if I get one.
