Hi - 3ish weeks ago I was diagnosed with Celiac Sprue. I'm 43. We started
focusing on our kids. My 8 year old has been having diarrhea maybe 60% of
the time, getting up a 5am and hurrying to the toilet. She seems to have a
bit of a distended tummy (some bloating), compared to other 8 year olds
with similar body fat. Otherwise she seems healthy, ie good weight and
color.

So we had her blood tested. The results came back today:

IGA Gliadin - 29 (Nurse said this is a weak positive) IGG Gliadin - 37
(Nurse said this is a moderately strong positive) Reticulin came back negative.

So, does she have it too?

I really don't WANT to have my 8 year old have to go through the biopsy
process.

What does the collective wisdom of the group say?

Gary
