St. Louis Summary

I got quite a few responses and am so grateful to everyone for your help. I
also received a wonderful downloadable list of restaurants in St Louis and
their GF options - several pages long, detailing the options. Please feel
free to email me if you would like a copy of that list, I would be happy to
forward it on. Thank you again to everyone for your help & advice!

Here's what everyone had to say:

Almost everyone recommended First Watch for breakfast. They have a gf menu
online. There are a few locations in St. Louis. Go to www.firstwatch.com for
the gf menu and restaurant locations

Chain Restaurants: PF Changs, Carrabas, Outback, Maggianos, Marcianos,
Chevy's, Red Robin, Chilis, Uno's Chicago Grill

Lunch or dinner in the UCity Loop (a fun area just 10 minutes from the zoo)
you can eat at Fitz's restaurant. They grill our burgers on clean grill,
serve them bunless with loads of tomato, pickle, lettuce, etc. They will
bake your french fries so as not to serve them contaminated from the fryer.
They are so used to this request they do it happily.

Local restaurants recommended: Landry's at Union Station, Jake's Steaks (@
Laclede's Landing), Shaffley's Brew Haus. Jimmys on Demun is a great place
for more upscale dining.

Nachomamma's was recommended by several different people. (A personal local
favorite that has a Gluten Free menu is Nachomamma's (mexican) on
Manchester. It's a little south of Highway 40 (south from 40 to Manchester,
right on Manchester. Nachomammas will be on the right hand side) and may be
on the way when coming and going from the Zoo. They are closed on Sunday.
Everyone raves about it. )

One person reported a good experience at Denny's, allergen listing is
online.

Six Flags - you are not allowed to bring food into the park, unless you have
a medical issue (and you do!)...go to six flags website and they will tell
you that you have to go to a special place when you arrive and tell them
about the food issues and they will let you in. I'd call first too.

Six Flags - As far as Eureka/Six Flags I am not as familiar with the local
spots. However if you take highway 270 N to Manchester Road you will find
gf menu at NachMama's. They are a walk through and order place who is also
very cognizant of gf needs. They have been serving the STL gf community for
years.

Zoo - popcorn is ok last I knew. And, according to our local board, they
have a dedicated fryer for fries in the big food pavillion. Its a zoo (pun
intended) and I wouldn't eat there unless I had too as cc would be high!
Plus, its megga $$. You can bring food into the zoo, however - we do all
the time.

Zoo - At the zoo we've eaten the hotdogs, popcorn and fresh made french
fries that are sold at kiosks.

Zoo - Across the street at Blueberry Hill we've eaten scrambled eggs and
bacon many times w/out worry.
