I asked some information about diagnosis a few months ago and received some wonderful information. Which has been very helpful (notably that someone who is IgA deficient is not going to have positive IgA results !) May I call upon your collective wisdom again.

My son 10 years is IgA deficient and all his bloods came back negative . He has been on a gluten full diet for 4 weeks. I understand that IgG levels rise more slowly. Should I wait for these to become positive before we get a biopsy. How long would I expect this to take?

He has 5 siblings. How many of you discovered silent CD among the siblings of a child with coeliac and how did this happen.

I am also IgA deficient and my sister has celiac. My bloods came back negative. Should I go for a biopsy because I am in a higher risk group. I do not have any symptoms of significance except I get very low in iron during pregnancy , I have had injections because I am unable to keep iron tablets inside long enough to do any good. My sister's coeliac was picked up because of anaemia.

Thank you so much.
