I spoke with a representative from Clinque this a.m. and obtained an
updated list of ingredients in their products that should be avoided.  I
was told I could get an ingredient list at any Clinque counter and can
compare to the info listed below.   Hope this helps and is not
repetitive (I did check archives and only found info from 2000.)  Here's
their letter.

material, in accordance with FDA regulations, using names which are
standard throughout the cosmetic and fragrance industry.  Because of the
vast number of raw materials from different sources, it is not possible
to guarantee that our products are completely free of any of the grains
specified.  The alcohol in our products is produced synthetically.
