Regarding Lundberg Farms Rice Cakes, Lundberg has informed me that
they plan on discontinuing the manufacturing of rice cakes containing
gluten in the near future.  I do not know how this will affect the product.
I do not know how they plan on cleaning the equipment.

Many people expressed thanks in being informed about the possible
gluten contamination.  They have been a staple for some.  No one
expressed whether or not they had been symptomatic after ingesting
them.

Although I felt at the time of ingestion that my reaction was mild
(flatulence and mucous), 48 hrs after ingestion I did experience a very
painful bowel movement; the stool was loose, fatty, and floating which is
typical for Celiacs who consume gluten products.  I did not add any other
product to my diet during the week, so I feel certain that the reaction was
due to ingesting the Lundberg Farms Brown Rice, Rice Cakes.
