'The Cake Mix Doctor' Anne Byrn has a new GF book on the market--Unbelievably Gluten-Free! 128 Delicious Recipes: Dinner Dishes You Never Thought You'd Be Able to Eat Again.

This book grew out of information shared/gathered during the book tour to promote her book The Cake Mix Doctor Bakes Gluten-Free. The new book has over 300 pages & contains family friendly recipes. These range from breakfast-for-dinner dishes for kids, chicken pot pie, pizzas, gumbo & ethnic favorites to end with angel food cake & other desserts.

While many of the recipes use ingredients that are naturally gluten-free, those wth a flour base use readily available baking mixes. This is a time saving shortcut, especially for those who are new to GF. Other than that, these recipes don't require a lot of special ingredients. This saves both $$ & time, making dinner a family meal that everyone can enjoy.

Anne has tweaked her favorite recipes using the special techniques/hints shared by celiacs she met on her book tour to achieve the desired flavor/texture. Since she does not have to eat gluten-free, everything had to be indistinguishable from 'real food' in taste testing by non-GF family & friends.

Watch for the book in local stores. For now, it just seems to be available online from the publisher or amazon...Suggested retail price is $18.95 in US.

And thanks to Anne for taking on the challenge...It is a true labor of love & a love of good food. Other than requests from long time fans for GF alternatives for their favorite Cake Mix Doctor books after a celiac dx, she has no personal connection to inspire her GF efforts.

This book is also about being at the right place in time. Less than ten years ago, books like this wouldn't have worked because mainstream commercial GF products, from General Mills to loaves of frozen GF bread, simply did not exist in our local stores. This is certainly the best of times to be GF!

(I have no financial interest in this book.)
