Despite the high price for the new volume, I find Stokes book an excellent
resource, and it's portable enough to take to the doctor's office with
me...which I find works well. Not only does it give the doctor and I ready
access to a gf listing, but it has proven effective in educating the
doctors/dentists about celiac.

And the $100 or so spent on a Physician's Reference Handbook was also a
valuable investment. But before buying, ask your doctor if he/she is buying
a new one, and would he/she consider giving you his most recent "obsolete"
one. My doctor just offered me his, but I already have one. Check with the
bookstores, too. When the new book comes in, the older version would probably
go on the discount table.
