Hello,

I got a few responses on my question regarding whether women with CD should
be concerned about malabsorption of birth control medications. Two said they
did have problems and now use a patch to bypass the GI tract.  One said she
has had no problems.  Two said they knew people who had problems with
miscarriages and/or spina bifida in children (mother had low folate).  Many
suggested taking pre-natal vitamins and watching folate levels if you plan
to become pregnant. Thanks very much to all who reponded.
