Has anyone else tried the new Glucerna liquid supplement made by the
makers of Ensure? It's designed especially for diabetics. I took some
on a recent vacation to use for late night/early morning low blood sugars
which can be very inconvenient when staying in a hotel. I found that
Glucerna tasted ok and isn't bad at room temperature. It also provided
some protein to carry my blood sugar through to morning as well as some
carbohydrates to act fairly quickly. I tried this before I found out
about gluten intolerance and was happy to read on the label that Glucerna
is lactose- and gluten-free.
A recent issue of Diabetes Forecast gave an 800 number (1-800-544-7495)
for a free sample.
I thought some of the diabetics on the list might be interested.
