On Sunday morning, I ended up with what my parents thought was food poisoning. [I know it was not simply cross contamination as I have had that before and know what to look for]. I have always had chronic diarrhea, but it was noticeably worse, and I was vomiting as well. Since then, it has somewhat improved, but my stomach still cramps randomly, and I noticed my neck was stiffer, as well as my ear has a slight pain. [because of this, my parents now wonder if i might have a virus of some sort]. For the past few months, I have been bruising extremely easily. Almost daily, I wake up with new bruises on my legs or arms, with no explanation as to how I got them. I am currently in between switching GI doctors, so I have not had my blood tested since November. Last time I had it tested, my platelets were too low and my monocytes were too high. A hematologist I was referred to did not think anything was wrong after reviewing my records. My stomach seems to feel harder or more bloated lately. I was wondering if anyone else had experienced these symptoms or knows how they might tie together.

Thanks,
Shelly
