I received a few responses to my question if Coleman's dry mustard powder is
currently gluten free. I have been thrilled with the McCormick mustard
powder (many thanks to those who suggested it!)

I have tried that phone number and was never able to make a connection at
all. However, I found a website for Coleman's mustard and read that it may
contain wheat flour. I wish there was another brand that tasted the same.

According to US labeling, Mustard flour is g.f. Mustard powder does not have
to be g.f. Colemans is make in England and got caught for not labeling the
wheat in the mustard powder a few years ago.

I live in the UK, and it is my understanding that Coleman's mustard powder
is NOT gluten free.  The explanation given to me is that wheat flour is used
on the machinery to keep the mustard flour flowing when it is being
packaged.  The wheat flour is "part of the packaging/processing" and not a
product ingredient and therefore doesn't need to be legally listed as an
ingredient. I hope this helps.  Everyone has to make their own decisions,
but I certainly wouldn't take the risk on such a technicality.

I contacted Coleman's in the UK several months ago and it is not GF.
However, contacted McCormick's and their mustard is GF having only mustard
powder. Most of their products are:
