Can someone out there please explain to me how licorice can contain gluten? Is
it not a plant or is it something else? Are we celiacs to avoid any product
that states licorice as an ingredient? I read this somewhere on the list and
it stuck in my mind but I can't recall all of the details. My celiac daughter
was given a supplement by her naturopath which contained licorice and it made
her very sick.

Any help in understanding this will be greatly appreciated....
