Thanks to all who responded.  Basically it seems that there shouldn't be a
problem with either scotch or wine, but there were three specific responses
that I wanted to share:


**Whiskey is made from distilled wheat so there is no gluten-free "Scotch"
Wine is usually OK

*I haven't contacted the companies directly, but since
my digestive symptoms are pretty reliable and I
haven't gotten a reaction from them, I can recommend
Highland Park and Laphroig.  There's another more
expensive bottle--I want to say MacEllen, but I don't
think that's right--that also was great.  Enjoy, and I
look forward to hearing about more!
