The NOMSG group is a group that is seeking full disclosure of MSG in food
ingredient lists. They have filed a suit against the FDA under their Truth
in Labeling Campaign. We have a lot in common with them as HVP contains MSG,
and so is one of the foods they focus on.

They now have a web presence at http://www.nomsg.com (though the most
recent newsletter is better). They can be reached at 800-BEATMSG (800-232-8674).

Their 4th annual conference will be at Marina del Rey, CA on Oct. 25-27th.
Friday is only a 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Welcome Reception. Here are some highlights
from the newsletter:

The scheduled keynote speaker is Bruce Silverglade, director of the legal
division for the Center for Science in the Public Interest. Mr. Silverglade
is going to share much needed information about how to create a political
impact in Washington.

.... Mr. Silverglade is going to instruct us how to create this very
important presence.

Other exciting speakers scheduled for Saturday are Dr. David Sosin who runs
a clinic dealing with ADD and headaches, Dr. George Schwartz, author of In
Bad Taste: The MSG Syndrome, Jack Samuels and Adrienne Samuels Ph.D. will
update us on the Truth in Labeling Campaign, Howard Goldstein, JD will
update us on the status of the Livingston v. Marie Callender's lawsuit, and
your own board of directors will fill you in on what the plans are for NOMSG
over the next year.

Sunday will be reserved for open panel discussions. ....
