Does anyone know how accurate blood tests are for vitamin levels? I had
a panel work up last spring when I was not aware of any of the problems
I'm aware of now -- I was almost vegetative -- and it was normal.
Started taking a recommended vit. supplement regime for heavy-metal
toxicity (good for celiacs too I understand) and definitely felt better
and tests came out the same 8 months later. My oriental doc tells me
I'm anemic (said I don't have enough blood). I'm tired all the time. My
iron is normal on the test. I know it's bad to supplement with iron if
you don't need it. Do women need to take an iron supplement? Would
taking some every now and then hurt me? Any relation between iron
deficiency and gluten intolerance? I know I need to ask my doctor, but
wondering if anyone has any insight in the meantime.

Thanks,

Jennifer in San Diego
